We welcome an American author, Julie Klassen, who has kindly agreed to speak about her Regency novels. Julie has published four novels about the fortunes and misfortunes of a family of four sisters who moved to Sidmouth in 1819. Whilst the characters are fictional, historical figures from those years, including John Wallis, John Kennaway and the Duke of Kent are cleverly recreated. Her readership is American not British and she will tell us about their great interest in Regency England. As it is a ‘Meet the Author’ event please ask her questions. The details are on the attached poster, including the booking arrangements so that we can control numbers. You will see that it is Monday June 15 at 6.00 pm. The admission charge is £5 and includes a glass of wine or soft drink.
