The SVA was formed in 1846 to protect the landscape and amenities of the Sid Valley

Activities

Installing gate The SVA owns and manages around 50 acres of land, maintains the footpaths that cross it, and patrols the River Sid along its borders to help keep it free of litter and pollution.

It monitors planning applications to ensure that development conforms to the appropriate guidelines.
