The SVA was formed in 1846 to protect the landscape and amenities of the Sid Valley
We make grants to a wide range of local projects through the Community Grant Scheme
We publish books on topics of local interest, sold through our Online Shop, Sidmouth Museum and local bookstores
We own and maintain around 50 acres of land in Sid Vale for the benefit of the local community
We run events, walks and talks and produce regular newsletters and publications

SVA ESTATES AROUND SIDMOUTH

Meet 09:30 at the SE corner of Livonia Road, Sidmouth (kerbside parking)

A guided tour visiting all the areas of land owned by the SVA. Involves some steep ascent / descent. After the walk, if time permits, we will then drive to the northern end of Bickwell Valley. Then a short walk up Bickwell Lane to visit the entrance to Highfield Meadow.

This walk is led by Hugh Sutherland and our guide is the SVA Estates Manager Peter Rose.
