Talk: 'Literary Tourism: Travellers who write and writers who travel' by Philip Long

Talk Poster Philip LongPhilip, who works in the Museum, is an honorary research fellow at the University of Plymouth. His teaching and research have focused on the study of tourism. His talk is about the relationship between literature and tourism and will include fiction, ‘travel writing’ and poetry. Locations of literary tourism will include Sidmouth and the South West along with elsewhere in the UK and internationally.

The poster shows a Beatrix Potter illustration set in the Sid Valley. She was a frequent visitor to Sidmouth.
