This special theme this year is ‘Natural Beauty’, with the centrepiece of the displays being a specially commissioned painting of the cliffs by a celebrated local artist. The centenary of Charles Darwin is commemorated with displays of a few of the naturalist’s amazing discoveries. Also on display are prints produced by Beatrix Potter in recognition of her enjoyment of her holidays in this area. A wonderful costume display illustrates what can be produced with natural products.
